Clinical Setting: Royal Surrey CEDAR & University of Surrey

12-week pilot

Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust

Programme Overview

A 60-patient pilot with CEDAR at Royal Surrey County Hospital and the University of Surrey. After an in-person foot check, patients sent photographs of both feet every two weeks for 12 weeks. Clinicians in orthopaedics, podiatry, and endocrinology scored the photos. Patient Watch Ltd is named on the poster.

  • •Dorsal and plantar photographs of both feet, every two weeks, compared with the in-person exam
  • •Photo scores matched or nearly matched the in-person exam in more than 85% of cases. Differences of 2 points or more were under 15%
  • •Where scores differed systematically, they over-scored rather than under-scored
  • •System Usability Scale: patients 79.5 ± 15.7 (n=38), clinicians 88.1 ± 8.1 (n=9)
